Dale proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, receiving two Purple Hearts for his service, and was a life member of the Mansfield V.F.W. Post 6757. He was employed and retired as a Systems Computer Programmer with the Pennsylvania Department of Health. He loved and appreciated the Mansfield community, but also loved travelling, especially to concert venues. He also enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and playing basketball, having been a standout athlete in several sports in high school. Above all, Dale’s family was most important to him, and he had a knack for remembering and sending cards for all birthdays and special occasions.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Michael Deiner, of Annville, PA; grandchildren, Trinica (Stacey) Santos, of Berkley, MA, Cole Deiner, of Washington D.C., and Logan Deiner, of Annville, PA; great grandchildren, Sawyer and Benjamin Santos; brother, Ronald (Lisbeth) English, of West Islip, NY; nephew, William (Elizabeth) English, of Auburn, ME; close friends, Ron and Kathy Gordon, of Mansfield; and many other dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Dale’s name to the Mansfield V.F.W. Post 6757, 1208 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA 16933 or the American Legion Military Share Program, 572, Williamson Road, Blossburg Pa 16912
