Freda L. (Tribe) Crumb Drawbaugh

Freda L. (Tribe) Crumb Drawbaugh, age 86, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at the Green Home in Wellsboro. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Luther “Gene” Drawbaugh in 2018. Born November 29, 1937, in Tioga Center, NY, she was a daughter of the late Earl and H. Louise (Brink) Tribe. 

Freda was a member of the Stony Fork Baptist Church, the Red Hatters, and the Morris 55+ Club. She enjoyed interacting with customers during her career at Super Duper and Food Lion. Freda was an accomplished seamstress and cake decorator, making many of the family birthday and wedding cakes. Each of her children always had a special birthday cake year after year. She also decorated cakes for local families for various celebrations. She enjoyed decorating her home for every holiday. Celebrating holidays, birthdays, and special events with her family was most important to Freda. She was also very active in the Mansfield Area Recreation Association and supporting local youth sports.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Melinda (Jim) Jankowski, of Mansfield, PA, Stephen (Bernadette) Crumb, of Union, OH, Kevin (Leesa) Crumb, of Willingboro, NJ, Rochelle (Richard) Strange, of Mansfield, PA, Dennis (Linda) Crumb, of Wellsboro, PA, Wendell Crumb, of Hanover, PA, and Marcia (Michael) Ehrhardt, of Columbia, MD; 25 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Olson, of Mebane, NC, and Ronnie (George) Mason West, of Wellsboro; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many dear friends. 

In addition to her parents and late husband, Gene, Freda was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Crumb; daughters-in-law, Lisa Crumb and Trudy Crumb; sister, Donna Tribe; great grandchildren, Gemma Bailey and Gabriel Crumb.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 11 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., at Wilston-Currie Funeral Home, 130 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA 16933. Freda’s funeral service will immediately follow viewing hours at 1:00 p.m., with her son, Rev. Dennis Crumb, officiating.
