Karen E. (Vanstrander) Pellicano

Karen E. (Vanstrander) Pellicano, age 62, of Woodhull, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Guthrie Corning Hospital. She had recently celebrated 37 years of marriage with her husband, John A. Pellicano, Jr., of Lawrenceville, PA. Born August 14, 1960, in Elmira, NY, she was a daughter of the late Don and Loretta (Cornish) Vanstrander.

Karen’s greatest passion in life was caring for others, whether she was performing her duties as a Home Health Aide or simply caring for her own children and grandchildren. Both Karen and John enjoyed watching soap operas and NASCAR together, especially the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Affectionately known as “Nana” to her grandbabies, Karen held the love for her family above all else.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, John A. Pellicano, Jr., of Lawrenceville, PA; children, Kim Pellicano, of Nelson, PA, Johnny (Kelly) Pellicano, of Tioga, PA, and Jessica (Michael) Doan, of Woodhull, NY; grandchildren, Lukas, Parker, Jacob, Walker, Teagon, Eli, Baylee, CJ, Savanna, Skyler, Riley, Blaise, Jesse and Aaliyah; close sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Gary Brown, and their children, Heidi, Halie, Heather and Katie; great niece, Evelyn; and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Beverly B. Houghtaling.
