Marion M. Zipp, age 93, of Mainesburg, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the Green Home in Wellsboro. She was married to Walter S. Zipp, who preceded her in death in 1996. Born December 18, 1928, in White Haven, PA, she was the daughter of the late Orville and Viola (Tracy) Solt.
Marion took great pride in being an incredible homemaker for her family and loved cooking, baking, quilting and taking care of the animals they had. She was an outdoorsy woman, who enjoyed gardening, farming, and attending hunting camp with her family and friends. She formerly attended church services at the Roseville United Methodist Church in Roseville, PA. Marion’s humble and kind-hearted will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her grandson and great granddaughter, Don Robert (Kate) Anthony and Grace Anthony, who she lived with in Mainesburg; daughters, Shirley (Ernie) Keefer, of Philadelphia, and Nancy (Craig) Reeder, of California; grandson, Steven Keefer, of Philadelphia; many additional great grandchildren; and many dear friends.
In addition to her parents and late husband, Marion was preceded in death by her sons, Don Harry Anthony and Tom Anthony; grandson, William Keefer; granddaughter, Theresia Reeder.
In lieu of flower, memorial donations can be made to the Mansfield Fireman’s Ambulance Association, 381 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA 16933.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 10-11 a.m., at Wilston-Currie Funeral Home, 130 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA 16933. Marion’s memorial service will immediately follow the hour of visitation at 11:00 a.m. and she will be laid to rest with her husband in Bath National Cemetery, www.wilstoncurriefh.com.
