Nancy (Paull) Alexander

March 5, 1936 — July 11, 2024

Roseville

Nancy (Paull) Alexander, age 88, of Roseville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Green Home in Wellsboro. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Lyle Alexander, in 1994. Born March 5, 1936, in Cuba, NY, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Etelka (Foster) Paull.

Nancy graduated from Cuba Central High School and attended Alfred State College. She drove school bus for Chamberlain’s and later Wilson’s for more than 30 years and was employed for over 40 years as a florist with Kuhl’s Flowers. Additionally, she served for 30 years on the Tioga Dairy Promotion Committee, including the role of Treasurer. She was a member of the Roseville Borough Council and lived a life of strong faith, attending church services on a regular basis at Roseville Baptist and later Austinville Union Church. Nancy loved spending time at Cuba Lake and gardening, specifically flowers, where she had a keen eye for details in floral arts. She cherished her family and the time spent with her grandchildren camping and helping at many 4H dairy shows. Her fiercely independent and hardworking personality will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Wendy (Jon) Murray, of King Ferry, South Carolina, Randy (Lynn) Wood, of Anchorage, AK, Rodney Wood, of Blossburg, Russell (Carmen) Wood, of Arnot, and Roger (Cathleen) Alexander, of Liberty; grandchildren, Kimberly, Kelly, Kate, Tiffany (Cory), Ashley, Randi (Josh), Donelle (Kyle), Chase (Misty), Cris (Traci), Chelsea (Patrick), Zachary (Marissa), Sarah (Curtis), Shelby and Matthew; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Phillip Paull, and niece, Estelle, of Wisconsin; and many dear friends.

In addition to her parents and late husband, Lyle, Nancy was preceded in death by her son Rick Wood, and her special friend, Ray Jordan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Nancy’s name to either Tioga County Dairy Promotion, 197 County Lane, Roaring Branch, PA 17765, or Austinville Union Church, 2977 Austinville Rd., Troy, PA 16947.
