Terry Lee Gardner

Terry Lee Gardner, age 49, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, comfortably at home with his loving son by his side. Born September 11, 1975, in Wellsboro, PA, he was a son of Gary Gardner and Bonnie Kendrick.

From a very young age, Terry made it his personal mission to not waste one minute of his time on this earth. He began working tirelessly in his childhood and at 15 expressed dreams of someday owning his own bar or restaurant. After maintaining that same work ethic into adulthood, that dream came true with Your Mama’s Mug, a true pillar and authentic getaway in the heart of Wellsboro. Outside of his children and maybe a car or two, the Mug was the pride of his life, truly carving his name in the Wellsboro community as a fair, honest, fun-loving, and genuine businessman.

Terry’s life revolved around his children, Gavin, Isabella, and Emma, whom he adored, while cherishing every moment spent with them. Emma was his snuggle buddy, always there to comfort him during an episode of ‘Is it Cake?’ and Isabella connected with him through creative arts, specifically painting and drawing. Both girls shared their dad’s love for motorcycles and could often be seen cruising on the back of his bike. Gavin, his oldest, was not only his ‘right-hand man’ and best friend, but he is also following in his footsteps, aspiring to own a popular hospitality destination. Some of Terry’s additional hobbies and interests include most vehicles, hunting, fishing, hockey, and he loved traveling.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tania Gardner, of Wellsboro; son and daughter-in-law, Gavin & Lily Gardner, of Wellsboro; daughters, Isabella & Emma Gardner, both of Wellsboro; mother, Bonnie (John) Kendrick, of Mainesburg; grandson, Asher Gardner, of Wellsboro; brother, Mikal Gardner, of Roseville; sister, Christy (Kyle) Gardner, of Bentonville, AR; mother-in-law, Tina Charles; additional extended family and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Gardner, in 2021.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects Friday, March 14, 2025, from 3 - 7 p.m., in the Grand Community Ballroom, Deane Center, 104 Main St, Wellsboro, PA, 16901. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Wilston-Currie Funeral Home, Mansfield, www.wilstoncurriefh.com.
